What is Easy and What is Right

I walk into my hotel room silently. Chester is still asleep on the couch. I couldn't help but stand there for a moment and just look at him. It was hard not to giggle seeing his glasses slipping off his nose, no shirt, messy hair and dry slobber on the side of his mouth.
I shake my head with a smile and kneel down in front of the dresser in the master bedroom. Was I really leaving? Was I leaving Nate? Was I bringing Chester along with me? Was I finally quitting this pointless mission? Yes, I was.
I cram all of my clothes inside my suitcase while all of his clothes still remained in a mess in the bottom droor.

I look at my watch. It was 10:30. I better go wake him up. I think to myself getting up off the floor.

I sit at the end of the couch and run my hand through Chester's hair.
"Chaz," I whisper softly. "honey get up its time to go."
His eyes open slowly and he looks around confused.

Like I always do, I toss a pair of pants at him as he sits up rubbing the sleep outta his eyes.

"Go get packed." I tell giving Chester a quick peck on the cheek.
He nodded, confused and made his way into the bedroom.
I followed him in there. "I know you've only been here a day but we should really be getting home." I coo rubbing his bare back softly.
Chester nods placing another shirt in the duffle bag. "I know." Thankfully he was a bit more awake now.

"Man, I feel really bad for just leaving like that." I say sitting next to Chester in the cockpit.
"Jinx, you said so yourself we should really be getting home." He mumbles looking at me.
"I know... Nate almost knows to." I whisper.
"What are you talking about?" Chester raises an eyebrow.
"Your name just so happened to come outta my mouth. Its just ended up being a mess."
"I'm sorry sweetie." He grabs my hand for a moment.
"Thank you. I'ma take a nap you don't mind do you?" I try to put on an innocent face.
"Yeah. You look tired." He tells me.
"I'll take the ship over later." I say placing a pillow against my window.
I couldn't help but notice Chester's head starting bobbing from side to side and kept blinking making his eyes widen.
"Chaz, put it on auto pilot. You sleep. It knows our destination." I say leaning on his shoulder.
Chester nods and wraps his arms around my waist. "Kay."

Before I know it we're asleep.

Somebody's Something

"Come on!" I ramble to my Nate.
"God relax!"
"No! I won't relax! Have we been doing anything on this mission?" Says I.
"Yes."
"But..... General got away."
"What are we supposed to do?"
"Ya know what? I love you Nate but... we aren't being dedicated to the work. I'm going with Chester."
"WHAT!?"
Oh crap not good.
"What are you talking about and who the hell is Chester?"
"No one."
"Don't lie to me Jinx!"
"I CAN'T TELL YOU!" I burst.
"Come on!"
I could do this. All this time such little people new. How could I just throw that away?
"Please... You can tell me anything."
Nate, if I could tell you I would. But, if you love me like I think you do you'll understand why I can't tell you."
"Fine!" He shouted. I felt so guilty. "Go with this Chester........" His voice softened. "I guess I'll see you sometime when you aren't busy."
And with that, Nate left me standing alone in the cafe. Alone. By myself.

Why

(right after where we left off)

I wake at four in the morning, my head is spinning. I get up and make me a cappacino. Minutes later the doorbell rings. I sit my lightsaber next to me for safety.

The door opens and its Chester. We rush into each others arms in seconds.

"You're alright thank God!" He says.

I don't want to let go. But, at the same time I can't hold on to something good like him.

"I love you so much." I whisper in his ear.

This makes Chester hold on tighter. He looks me in the face and kisses me like he never has before. I know he truelly loves me.

We sit down. Yeah I'm still in my lavender night gown. We sit and talk about what's been going on with us lately. What he tells me makes me miss home.

"I wann go home." I whisper.

Chester hugs me. "I know." He says.

I give him a glance and look out the window.

"You can spend the night here and I'll meet Nate somewhere tomorrow morning before you get up." I knew he would wanna go with me. But, that would be wrong.

I needed some time off anyway.

Not Quite What We Had in Mind

(I apologize for the lack of updates)

I'm right in the middle of recording a holo for the Jedi Council when Chester sends me a message.

"Are you okay?" He asks.
"It's a long story." I say with a shrug.
"But, you're safe and nothing's happened to you!?" He says with a great force and truth.
I nod. "Yes. I'm fine." I want to switch the subject now. "How are things going for you?"
"Good. I met Jace Moonwalker."
I gasp. "Did you really?"
"Yeah."
"You do know who he's married to right?" I ask.
"No. Who?"
"TASH!" I completely forgot that he didn't know any of this.
He's cheeks turn red in embarassment. "Oh." Were the only words he had.
"Well, I gotta go. Nate's speeder needs fixing up."
"WHAT?!" Chester shouts.
"What is so bad about that it just needs fixing up." I say.
"I'm coming down there. I thought it was seriouser than this."
"Wait Ches-

I was to late... He already ended the holo.

Something I Can Never Have

Nate and I sit silently. I want to try to start a conversation but nothing comes to mind. I take a bite out of my lemon cake looking down at the table. Before I got here I felt like I had so much to tell him. I just didn't realize they were things I needed to tell myself.



I hear a rumbling above us. I put my hand over my lightsaber because the force was telling me to. The door to the cafe opens quickly. Everyone there ran out the Emergency Exit except for Nate and I.



"Grievous!" Nate shouts.



I lunge on top of the table my lightsaber in hand. General Grievous pulls out his green lightsaber and his blue one. Nate pulls out a small gun and shoots it at the General. He moves the green saber in front of his face. It boomerangs over to Nate. My Uncle ducks his head as fast as he can. My lightsaber collapses against General Grievous's saber. Sweat is dripping from my face. I push my saber against his harder and pull up Nate as fast as I can, I take the gun from Nate's hand and shoot it at Grievous's heart. It was good enough for him to die, they could still get him a new one.

Nate and I rush outside as fast as we can and hop into his speeder.

"GO!" I yell.

Nate nods his head to me and we're out of sight before Griveous can follow us.

Much Like Falling

The young man nods.
He puts his palms onto my cheeks where they used to stay all the time and kissed my lips.
I gasp at him, anger overflowing.
“Like I said I’ll wait for you.” Jamin tell me.
I shove him away.
Jamin was my boyfriend before I left to be a Jedi. I broke up with him because of the distance apart.
He promised me he would wait for me. He was just too stupid to realize it was basically illegal me to fall in love. Even though technically I never was in love with him. I thought I loved him for a short time but I really didn’t. I didn’t even have the heart to tell him I didn’t love him. Young love is never true. Ever! I don’t believe in true love if you’re younger than nineteen.
“I DON’T LOVE YOU! I NEVER DID JAMIN! I NEVER WILL! YOU MADE ME LIVE A LIE! A BLOODY LIE! YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE IN LOVE! YOU WEREN’T! I CAN’T HAVE A TRUE LOVE! ESPECIALLY NOT WITH YOU! THIS IS AGAINST THE RULES! I CAN’T LOVE YOU! I WON’T LOVE YOU!” I spit.
Jamin looks hurt. This was in powering.
I stare at him with anger.
“All this time…. You hated me?” He asks.
“I never loved you!” I calm myself. “That doesn’t mean I hate you. I just want you to leave me alone. I can’t handle having you in my life.”
Jamin nods and slams the hotel door. I sigh with relief. I grab my holo as fast as I can.
“Chester!?” I shout.
“Hi…” He whispers.
“AH IT’S SO GOOD TO HEAR YOUR VOICE!” I shout with glee.
He giggles at me. “It’s only me. I got to visit my other best friends today.”
“Who?” I ask him.
“Brad, Rob, Phoenix and Joe.” Chester tells me.
“Cool.”
“Are you alright?” He asks.
I nod my head fast. “Yeah. Yeah. I’m fine.”
“No you’re not.” He says.
“How’d you know?” I whisper, tears appearing for some reason.
“Come on what’s wrong?” Chester asks me again.
“I don’t want to talk about it.”
Chester rolls his eyes. “Okay, if you say so.” He says with a giggle.

I rush over to the phone next to my bed.
“Nate?” I ask.
“Yeah?” Says my Uncle Nate.
“I’m ready to meet you at the café.” I say in almost an demanding tone.
“Okay, see you there.” He tells me.

Everything Back But You

I’m walking around the city with My Uncle Nate. I hadn’t seen him since I was sixteen and leaving for Coruscant to start my training to be Jedi. So we needed some reconnecting. Nate’s holding my hand so I know we’re still close like before. We just hadn’t seen each other in so long.

The mix of wind and tiny snow flakes cuts at my skin like a letter opener.

“The council says we’re looking for a Sith Lord.” Nate exclaims. He hasn’t changed much.

I nod. “That’s right.”

“General Grievous…. Sound familiar to you?”

“Does he ever? The dude is psycho I tell ya. My roommate, Anakin and my Master Obi-Wan Kenobi had to deal with him when the war first started. Things got pretty bad.” I say.

We sit down outside the Starbuck’s with cocoa. The hot taste of the cream and chocolate is soothing, even if I burn my tongue.

“And I’m helping you with this why?” Nate asks raising an eyebrow.

“Because…” I begin forgetting the reason. I shouldn’t have been doodling in that class.

I finally remember. “You have one of the greatest ships in the galaxy right now! Apparently you know what you’re doing.”

I stand throwing away my cup. I slip my hands into my pockets trying to take away the sting the weather was giving them.

I walk toward my hotel.

“I’m gonna go.” I tell Nate as we both turn our separate ways. He waves goodbye and I walk into the warm hotel.

I open the door to my room to see an old face.

“JAMIN!?” I shout.
